Heterogeneous Mn-Based Catalysts for the Aerobic Conversion of Methane-to-Methyl Trifluoroacetate

چکیده
Methane conversion strategies that protect methanol via in situ esterification achieve higher yields compared to direct methane without product protection; however, most of these high-yield systems operate under unfavorable conditions. To date, there is very limited work developing heterogeneous catalysts for methane-to-methyl-ester conversion, and studies demonstrating the activity manganese are limited. We have prepared a series silica-, titania-, zirconia-supported measured aerobic methyl trifluoroacetate diluted acid. The silica-supported catalyst exhibits high overall activity, but significant amounts homogeneously active observed. Titania- catalyze reaction heterogeneously with activities up 613 μmol gcat–1 h–1 show nondetectable leaching. Manganese oxide poorly dispersed on titania zirconia, whereas dispersion realized silica. This demonstrates facilely synthesized supported converts satisfactory improved conditions acid, those conventional systems.

The activity of different transitional metals over modified H-ZSM-5 catalysts for methane conversion to aromatics was compared. The first group of catalysts was Mo-impregnated H-ZSM-5 zeolites with 1, 3 and 6 wt% of Mo. The second group was M(3 wt%)- impregnated H-ZSM-5 (M: Ag, Cd, Cr, Mo, Zn and Mn). The catalytic activity of the first group was investigated at 600, 700 and 800 °C and gas hour...

متن کاملMetal-organic frameworks of vanadium as catalysts for conversion of methane to acetic acid.
A catalytic system combining the high activity of homogeneous catalysts and the ease of use of heterogeneous catalysts for methane activation is reported. The vanadium-containing metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) MIL-47 and MOF-48 are found to have high catalytic activity and chemical stability. They convert methane selectively to acetic acid with 70% yield (490 TON) based on K(2)S(2)O(8) as an o...

ors that form stronger bonds with H-atoms react with lower sensitivity to the strength of the C-H bond being activated. We have previously shown that reactions with energetic H-abstractors, such as OH radicals, react less selectively with the weaker C-H bonds in HCHO (relative to stronger C-H bonds in CH4) than more stable radicals, such as O and HO2. OH radicals are among the most thermodynami...
